What can a private detective/investigator do for me?
He/she can conduct criminal and/or civil investigations for you or an attorney who represents you. Their services vary depending on the agency. If you are involved in a criminal or civil litigation your attorney and you can greatly benefit from the services of a private detective.
What’s the difference between a detective and an investigator?
In the law enforcement world a detective is a full-time, sworn, police officer. An investigator can be a person in a government agency that may not have police powers. In the “private” world there is really no difference between the words; it is a matter of choice and preference.
What are the fees for your investigation/consulting services?
We normally work on a hourly fee plus expenses. The hourly fee is about what you would pay for a plumber, electrician, or other trades. We do require a retainer fee before work. Any unused retainer fee is quickly and happily returned to the client. Our Retainer Agreement is provided to the client for approval before any work is commenced. The Agreement documents all financial and legal aspects. (Based on individual cases and clients we reserve the right to perform services “pro bono” or for reduced fees. We provide professional courtesy discounts to veterans, law enforcement, first responders, and senior citizens.)
What are your fees for training, audio/video and other services?
Fees vary based on the services performed. Our fees are competitive and reasonable. We provide estimates before any services are performed.
What are your hours of operation?
Initial consultations (free, no obligation) are by appointment only; Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. - except holidays.
Is your company insured?
Our agency is licensed by the Texas Department of Public Safety, Licensing and Registration Service, Private Security Program, license number A10504001. Our agency is fully insured.
What happens at an initial consultation?
We conduct a detailed interview of a prospective client, and obtain information about service(s) requested. At the conclusion we will answer two major questions: Do you really need a private detective, and is our agency best-suited to perform the service(s)? If we conclude our agency is not best-suited for your needs we will assist you in finding another reputable agency. We do not charge for referrals.
